The only thing to make Vista come off worse is that it is following the version of XP we have now which works great Vista does not have an ME to follow to show that its flaws are no worse then XPs flaws in its beginning.

Thats kind of my point. XP works great. There was no need for Vista. It offered no useful features over XP, so whats was the point?
I strongly disagree with the comment that Vista's flaws are no worse than XP when it came out. I had maybe 2-3 people want to go back to 98-2000 from XP when it was new. Now I get that many people per week wanting to downgrade to XP from Vista. Also after the first SP XP was a very solid OS. SP1 has come for Vista and there have been a few improvements but not many. Its still not even close to XP in terms of compatibility, stability or speed.
