Default Multiple Video outputs

I have an HP with a video card with DVI, VGA, and RCA outputs. Supposedly, VGA was used all of this time and is now not working. It works when plugging the monitor into the DVI. I do not see multiple monitors shown in the display properties, so I think there may be an issue with the card itself.

Any ideas? Shouldn't two monitors (one grayed out) be shown on that page if this card has the capabilities of dual display?

We'll if the VGA output isnt working then I would assume that there is something wrong with the vid card. Does this card infact support dual monitors? And does the VGA output not work at all or does it only not work when there is something plugged into the DVI port?

What video card is it (model)?

Thanks for the reply. It does not work at all. It appears to be an Asus 7300 (I think).

It appears as if the VGA is simply dead. I got a picture to show up on the VGA output, but it was static with the refresh rate bars moving towards the bottom.
Thanks for the help, Resler.

Have you tried it on a verified working vga monitor? It almost smacks of a software error... Nvidia or ATI? What driver?

Yes, I did try it on two monitors...one known-to-be-working, and another that was in the basement for the last 2 months. It was a GeForce 7300LE.

Try updating the driver, make sure you delete old installation before installing new one/s. That failing, I guess its a hardware issue.
