Honestly Coffee, I wouldn't use that at all. I don't mean this to be mean, but I'm just gonna tell you how I see it...
Couple reasons... 1. The gradient won't print properly and won't show properly on a t-shirt, or anything else you try to get logo'd up. 2. It's not really a logo... It's just a blob with your info next to it. 3. When you're going for a simple logo you want it to look clean cut, this really doesn't =/ Try this... Start by picking 2 colors, a primary and a secondary color. (Asking a woman for help with color scheming is a good idea) The primary color will be for your TEXT, secondary for the extra stuff you put into the logo. Pick logo's you like and work from there... www.48hourslogo.com is a logo design website, you can view their completed contests (completed logos) and pick pieces that you like... View other companies logos and save them to your computer and label them as which part of the logo you like so that you can see how that works with your info... (Example... If you like the swoosh off my logo, save my logo and call it "swoosh"... if you like the laptop idea off of Scarlet's then take that and save it as "screen" or whatever) If you do this...please DO NOT just steal our logos and put your info in there, that is NOT what I'm saying and that would be quite illegal and very frowned upon here as well... I'm saying take the concepts and print it out... cut the parts you like out, layer them together on photoshop or even on your desk or on the floor or whatever to see what you like and how it works together To save time and spend money I suggest www.48hourslogo.com they do cheap logo contests, starting about $100 many of the other members have had theirs done for under $250 on that site or similar ones.

![]() My business is going to start out targeting home users. Now, I have heard it mentioned in the forums the idea of getting around to the "Assisted living" homes. I want to gear up and start a campaign with those first. We have alot of those in the area. I have already done a few calls in them too. My main push is residential and very small business. I was thinking a slogan would be "One call does it all". Or perhaps I happen to pick that up somewhere subconciously? Anyways, targeting residential is gonna be hard. Heck Im just going to basically walk into businesses (small) and intro myself. Im gonna do something unique. Im gonna go out and ask for their business. . Anyways, Hope that answers your question(s). |

if you do use "one call does it all' be prepared to have a backup for yourself in your fineprint terms & conditions lol. Cold calling business whether walk in or phone is quite a good strategy used by many. Just dont be overbearing and sell your business like a powerpoint demo, make it short and sweet, to the point basically. Look the part, be confident and be assertive yet not as much as being arrogant or ignorant to the clients thoughts/beliefs.
Have a professional look to yourself and advertising material. Sure it may be cheap to create your own business cards, though they look like **** unless you own a pro print press/digital setup. good luck
