Default Any one use any driver cleaners?

Does anyone use any driver cleaner software when reinstalling/installing new
video cards? If so what do you use and recommend?

I haven't used it in a while, but I mean
a program like drivercleanerpro.
What it does is removes any leftover files and registry entries from Nvidia drivers etc.

This way if you have issues with your current drivers, you can be sure that everything was removed before installing the updated ones.

Sounds like a specialized uninstaller for video drivers, or maybe all drivers. I cannot tell from their website: http://www.drivercleaner.net/

Has anyone had a need for this, or any experience with this utility?

a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, i had need for driver cleaning - but that was when switching from nvidia to radeon (or it might have been the other way around).

not sure how much of a problem it is nowadays.

First post here on this great site!

There is a free one called Driver Sweeper - bah I can't post links lol

Anyway, I see mostly hardcore gamers use it, since drivers are updated monthly (Video Drivers anyway), some nasties do get left behind and may contribute to BSOD's and other anomalies. It also removes Audio drivers, but I don't recall which brand.

I use it just for peace of mind.

The only driver cleaners I've every used were driver cleaners from the driver maker. I'm find it doubious a third party program could "know" each and every file used in every device.
