I agree. Lose the profile posts. I posted here once, but only because I thought I was sending a message to Nige.
    Hey there Bryce

Sorry to bother you, but I would just like to check the status update of my account validation. I have created a topic, and it was sent for moderation. It has been a few days now, so I just wanted to check what was up.

Is it because I do not qualify or something?

Please let me know when you can

    Thanks

    Chris
Hello Bryce, I am Chris, I run a small computer repair business in Waco, tx and have been for a few years. I just recently came across Technibble and was in awe of all its fantastic tools and helpful information, I join the forum, but i am unable to see the other sections, i have posted in the introductions thread, I understand you have a new 5 days and 5 posts policy right now, but how are we to achieve 5 posts if the indroductions section is the only one we can see and the posts there dont count? I understand you want to cut back on the people who just come to the site for free help and never contribute anything, but is there a process actual techs can go through to expedite their membership?
    Hi Bryce,

may sound like a basic question but I'm having trouble finding the main categories for the forum, I only see the announcements of new members section. I'd like to browse the categories. Are these currently hidden to me? Can you send me a link.

    cheers

    Hi Bryce,
I've been a member here for a few months, and I check the forums regularly. I do learn a lot here (that's why I came here to begin with), and I enjoy the posts and comments from the contributers. They are a pretty energetic lot, from the very serious folks who give very helpful information to the curmudgeons who seem to enjoy taking pot shots at questions or comments from the less experienced or less informed.

What I'm trying to say here is that I thoroughly enjoy coming here to learn, and I want to thank you and whoever helps run these forums. They are a valuable asset for me and I'm sure many others.

Hi Bryce, have you considered keeping the free forum but, adding a pay forum with stricter moderators. I'm just so sick of the immature six year olds on here. I would like to be part of a forum like this one used to be before it got infested with chaps. Just looking for some professionalism!
this was posted in the announcement section of the forums ,I don't think you want people like this on technibble.

Bruce it seems like you have a very active site here. I am glad to stumble upon it. I have been running a tech center from within a company and have always wanted to take it for a ride outside of the current company having it stand on its own. I wonder if this site can give me some clues, warnings and successes.
hello Bryce, first off I wanted to tell you that you spell your name wrong. jk.. My name is Brice L. Brice's of the world unite! Second I wanted to ask you how one would go about gaining access to the "technicians eyes only" forum? I am very interested in this and have been a technician for 7 years now (in case you were wondering).

On another note I wanted to thank you tremendously for technibble.com and it's forums, I have not left this site since I found it.

    best regards,

    Seatek
Bryce- got a PM spam message today. Member name- Mariatctfound. PM was all about "Teenage Cancer" with links to buy drugs. Over at 5Star we had to take steps against PM spam. One thing we do is to limit PMs to one in 5 min, and cap the total number per day.
Hi Bryce. I joined to expand my knowledge sources. On entering I found the "unhappy souls" there bagging Technibble. I just want to let you know I fully support you and your site. At this stage I have declined memmbership of the other site on the basis that they wouldnt see me as good enough. Keep up the great work.
    Bryce,
Just wanted to say thanks for this website and your efforts to maintain it. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help anytime.

I love this website, especially tech tool of the week. I send a ton of people here, because I consider it the best site on the web for technician related information.
