I know there's a number of other threads out there showing work areas, but I wanted to create a new thread with links to as many as I can find to turn this into a sort-of one-stop thread.

Also, you could post pictures of your work area here or updates pictures of your work area if you've previously shared them and the work area has changed.

My Work Area

This is my home office at my last apartment (my favorite setup I've ever had). My setup at my "new" apartment isn't as nice because the "old" one was 100% renovated in 2009; plus, the TV I sold (sold for $300 and bought for $230 during Black Friday!) My office is now in my dining room. There's a kitchen table in here that I can use to work on computers.

I will take pics of the new office after my girlfriend gets her iPhone 6S as I do not own a decent camera.

My tools are stored in a spare bedroom that is essentially a giant closet for me.

★ The monitor is the Dell 27 Ultra HD 4K Monitor – P2715Q (so nice)
★ The case is the Cooler Master: HAF XB EVO,
★ The TV stand is the Sauder Beginnings Ebony Ash TV Stand
★ The desk originally came from a university and was bought by my mom at a rummage sale. This thing is built like a brick.
★ Laptop is a Mid-2014 MacBook Pro Retina with 256GB SSD and 16GB of RAM
★ Printer is not worth mentioning, LOL
★ Mouse is the Logitech Marathon Mouse M705. Very comfortable but the wireless can be "choppy" at times - the receiver needs to be awfully close to the mouse.
★ Speakers are the Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speaker System. They sound excellent for computer speakers. Received $75 from Newegg due to the Nvidia 970 VRAM controversy and applied it towards the purchase of these and only paid $25.

Is that a rack next to your desk? I thought it was a makerbot for a second, then I thought it was a huge-atx sized case.

How are the acoustics on that case? I have my eye on two of the regular HD 27" monitors like yours. I don't know if I can justify the 4k costs. What are your thoughts?

Case

Being that it's a HAF model, it has a lot of openings to let air in or out. I've got about $100 worth of Noctua case fans installed. There's always a slight fan noise, but nothing insufferable, even when gaming @ 4K ultra. The fact that it is a constant, smooth noise is probably why it doesn't bother me -- I love having a fan on in the background for background noise because I can't stand it being super quiet. Fan noise is a non-issue for me.

4K Monitor

I bought a 1440p Asus monitor before this Dell and returned it twice because it has hardware failures. So I decided to jump on the 4K bandwagon given that I already had two EVGA 970 FTWs in SLI.

4k = OMG. Think about the razor sharpness of a high PPI smartphone or tablet but supersized. Text looks so much sharper (way more so than 1440p @ 27") and old games like Half-Life 2 look amazing.

People like to say that 4K is only good for big screen TVs but I totally, 100% disagree. I think even 8K on a 27" screen would look phenomenally better than 4K. 4K @ 27" is only 163 PPI. I sit like 2 feet away from the screen so a high DPI is very beneficial.

The nice part is that unless you're a gamer, there's a good chance that your integrated graphics (if you have it) alone will power a 4K screen and 4K videos.

If you're a gamer and want to play games @ 4K, you're gonna want 4GB of VRAM minimum and a high-end GPU like the 980 or a pair of 970s (best value). Of course, you can game at 1080p and it will look decent. 4K is 4x the resolution of 1080p so games will scale well and so will movies when running at 1080p.

Only thing better than this monitor would be a 4K IPS gaming monitor with Gsync (RIP wallet).

Definitely recommend going 4K if you can afford it. It's how you should experience a computer.

Also note that Windows 10 scaling is great at this point. Everything looks great albeit I do not use a lot of programs.

Edit: can we see your setup?

Started looking at the coolermaster mastercase 5 pro today for a future build. I am not a huge fan of leds and windows. Your description of the 4k monitor may have convinced me to go single monitor instead of duals. At 27 inches, I'm not so sure dual monitors is required. that is almost 4 foot across.

Will post when I have a camera handy.

Case looks nice. I like windows and LEDs :)

I had a dual monitor setup prior to getting the 27". Had a 23" and a 19". The 27" gives me more than enough screen real estate.

This is my nightmare workroom at our shop. There's also the main room with the customer area thats about 1.5x this size and cleaner/more organized... slightly.

Here's a bunch I just took this morning for giggles...
First..excuse the horrible scaling...I can't find a good image resizer for Windows 10...still looking, this one sucks!
Here is our office location, zoom in on where is says "Self Storage Solutions"...we rent 4 (soon to be 5) suites in the second building back. If you zoom in you can see my blue RAM pickup truck parked against the top of the lot towards the left.

Coming down the hallway on the second floor..

Our "sorta recently hired tech"...his office is on the right. Not decorated yet, as it's temporary and we're going to take a larger office next to our primary room...knock down a wall and expand.
IMG_20151111_074330074.jpg

Going down the hall a couple of more feet, on the left is our "main" office, where the office manager is, and our primary tech guy.
IMG_20151111_074342240.jpg

Walking into that room and looking out into the hall, see her desk
IMG_20151111_074401172.jpg

Down towards the end of the hall more, to the right, is our server room and stock room.
IMG_20151111_074416347.jpg

Stepping into that room of "stuff"...boneyard for old computers, old servers, plus messy shelves of "store stock"
IMG_20151111_074425294.jpg
IMG_20151111_074440457.jpg

And then looking into the "war room"...my colleague and I have the last corner room.

My desk to the right

...and in between our desks...a conference room that we usually have piled with crap. This morning I'm building a server for another clients migration...
IMG_20151111_074528490.jpg

Down the hall a bit, our kitchen...fridge, sink, cabinets we stock with food (fridge too), coffee, nuker,
