I use Signal.

I recently learned about Session, an Australian company that makes a completely open source, secure E2EE messenger for all platforms, Linux, Windows, Android, Apple's junk and Mac.

In some ways it's better than Signal, like completely anonymous signup, (signal requires a mobile phone number) but Session lacks some features.

I was shocked to see how "insecure" some "secure messengers" actually are!

How old is this datasheet, as names Twitter.
No idea, but all these messengers are still available so still relevant.
The name "X" hasn't been widely adopted despite the name change a while ago.

But who cares? It's still an interesting comparison.

It is still common practice to refer to X as Twitter in fact I fully expect the death of the name Twitter to be long and perhaps never ending.

I absolutely expect the same thing. It was another of Musk's bone-headed moves to change the well-established and worldwide brand that was Twitter to something utterly non-descript like X.

He may be (and clearly is) brilliant in some ways, but in anything related to human interaction and human factors he's a train wreck.

And he's managed to wreck X thoroughly, very thoroughly. It's gone fringe.

It always was "fringe" though in the opposite direction.
