I was a long time convert to Thunderbird for many years, up until a little while ago when a couple of aspects were annoying me and I looked for an alternative.

Discovered Postbox, which is based on TB and developed into a product of its own standing. Comes by default with a bunch of features that traditionally require add-ons in TB, and also a whole bunch of UI and useability improvements. Have been using it since, and have to say, I really love this email client. Its fast, feature packed, and rock solid. Very impressed.

Definitely a much stronger email client than any of the free offerings out there, but without the bloat of Outlook.

One of the things that has been a bonus with it has been the tech support. I encountered a couple of issues which were responded to within 24 hours. Top notch team over there who actually care about their customers :)

Is anyone else using Postbox?

Seen? Heard of it?

Yeah i've been using it for about a year now and i absolutly love it.
Searched for a good alternative for Outlook and saw this.
It has a GREAT seach function and with the addon lightning it is a great outlook alternative.

I now install it on my clients computers instead of Thunderbird.

There is a need for a good email client, especially with Win7 not having a free one
MS mail was great program but sadly only on Vista I have got to work with Win 7 but it’s a pain
Doing it for other people, Thunderbird is very lacking, and Outlook is expensive and gives many problems with the PST file when it gets huge as is often the case.
Too bad PB does not have a free version
and a paid deluxe version

Vista came with Windows Mail ... Win7 can freely download Windows Live Mail which is almost identical. What's sad or a pain about that?

I use TrulyMail, which includes automatic encryption (when sending to other TrulyMail users), voice messaging, and a lot of other stuff. The best thing I like about it is that they have a portable version so I can keep it on a usb drive and use it on any computer I want.
