CIS - Continuous Ink System.

I have used one for several years with my old trusty Epson R220, but the printer has finally bit the dust. I'm looking for a new printer to use a CIS with.

I print a large amount of flyers/leaflets for my business & I buy ink in bulk for that. Anyone here have any recommendations for a good replacement printer & CIS?

I'm not really particular to any one brand of printer, let me know what you recommend, especially for bulk work.

Thanks! :)

I think I would buy Epson artisan 835 and one of the CISs systems from eBay. Epson sells the 835 refurbs for $110 last time I looked, so for 150 bucks or so you can print a lot.

You can also print CDs which I really like.

I have the r320 but not on CIS but cheap inks from ebay, best printer i've ever had. I would buy another R2XX R3XX off ebay and carry on. It's already proved to be a great cheap work horse.

A mate of mine sells CIS's, he likes the brother printers with the cartridge door on the front right hand side for ease of install.
I've had a good run with brother consumer grade printers in general.

Thanks for all the replies.

My Epson R220 had had a "ton" of paper through it over the years, and despite my best efforts at cleaning it I am now experiencing feed issues. On top of that, it is now "blobbing" ink onto the pages, so I'm not sure what that's all about.

The weather is getting warmer now so I don't know if that is causing an issue with the ink or not. Maybe the *cheap* ebay ink I am using is causing a problem, or maybe it is something else.
