anyone use NAS4Free / XigmaNAS

My personal NAS runs on NAS4Free, currently have a RAIDz-2 array on 5 x 4TB drives, I have bought some more 4TB drives to expand the storage.
I also have a spare drive to back everything up to.

Is there anyway to expand the array storage without losing CIF shares/permissions/settings ?

As you have redundancy, the only way to expand and keep the same effective level of redundancy would be adding/striping across another VDEV, presumably on at least 5 more drives in another RAIDZ2...

Add a drive to existing vdev

Hi, I’m trying out FressNAS for the first time since it’s so neat to be able to run it as a vm and do away with my Areca RAID cards. However, I can’t seem to find a way to add a new hard drive to an existing vdev; something like RAID expansion that’s available on Areca RAiD cards and ReadyNAS...
