Rossmann said he isn't asking for much and just wants to be left alone to do his business.

"I'd like Apple to change by acknowledging that if they're not willing to do certain jobs, maybe somebody else would," he said.

"I'm not even asking them to extend an olive branch. I'm just asking them to stop extending the knife."

(Good for him; I still won't repair Apple devices. Too many booby traps).

I agree, I shy away from imac repairs - macbooks are bad enough. I think anyone whom glues the battery to a device is an idiot.

That's a major move in the right direction. But it's only half the battle. Without parts it's very limited. They need to devise protections for companies to produce parts as well.
