Audio file converter...from "old special <br25>BMW format" to modern

Client of mine ..she's driven BMWs for a while, and prefers her odd music collection on a USB thumb drive. She has been driving an older Bimmer for a while and her thumb drive appears to have all the audio in the .BR25 file format from iDrive. Her new BMW will not play that old format. I believe it needs to be converted to MP3 or AAC. I'm not really all that familiar with audio file formats and tools. I mean, I know what an MP3 is..but...the other types, and converters, etc. ANYways...not wanting to just Google up any "tool" that can convert the huge music library she has, because usually Googling up "codec" and "converter" etc tools...leads to junk rife with malware.

Suggestions for a trustworthy tool that is fairly easy for her to use?
