I'm looking for a program other then DVDdecrypter that will allow for copying a DVD to an ISO image. I've tried DVDfab that has a full disc copy option but it copies to VOB files. I'd like ISO files because it allows for easier movement and will keep everything together.

Anyone here have a favorite?

Linux is your friend here. Just about any of the major burning apps will do this as long as you have libdvdcss installed. Try K3B, Brasero, Xfburn, etc.....or command line if you prefer.

No mention of an OS.

So......

M$ - MagicISO (awesome for virtual CD's as well on optidriveless machines)
Linux - As SilverLeaf said there are many.
Mac - built in OS X disk utility

Code:
user@host$ dd if=/dev/$MEDIA_DEVICE of=/path/$FILE_NAME.iso bs=2048
:D

/Unless of course you are talking about decrypting movies
//dvdback will do the job then

Maybe we could veer away from discussing how to violate copy protections? I don't read the OP's question as wanting that so let's not offer info that violates the forum rules.

Since the original post DID mention an alternative to DVDdecrypter, I presumed that was what they wanted.

However, you are correct in not promoting violations....my bad.

I do believe you can CREATE UNPROTECTED DVD to iso from Imgburn.

Many other programs will also create iso from unprotected DVD, if that is your intention.
