Big Changes in Copilot with latest update

I had Copilot Preview on my machine and had the icon for it tucked at the far right of my system tray. Windows Update KB5043145 applied overnight and what a change in the UI for Copilot, along with the "Pre" part coming off the icon.

It's now back in my taskbar immediately to the right of the search box and opens in its own window that overlays the other windows. It had opened as a sidebar of sorts, making the Window it was next to shrink to its left.

I can probably reconfigure most of this, but the changes were not of my making.

Like everything Microsoft makes, 99% of people will ignore it unless they cram it down their throats. For example, do you know of anyone who ever used "meet now?" What about Cortana? I suspect that Microsoft will be more and more forceful with Copilot as they realize that no one is using it.

Again, we live in entirely different worlds. I see Copilot in use all over the place.

No forcing or cramming required.

I also see Copilot in use a lot. Not necessarily in any one place (Taskbar, Edge, etc.)... but it's certainly catching on IMO.

Really? Of course it was not that is the way MS works.
