Hello everyone, I use to resell mozy(carbonite) backup to my customers but lately been looking into Wasabi cloud services and setting up CloudBerry as an option for my customer. My question is does anyone use CloudBerry with AWS or Wasabi? It looks like there are a lot of more features if I go with a server, I may be able to offer some of the other services to my customers. Any thoughts

I've been using Cloudberry with Wasaba for the past year and I'm very happy with it. Good margins. I use desktop / server version and pay monthly.

Thanks for getting back with me, do you pay cloudberry msp360 per device for your customers? Also do you create an account on wasabi for each customer or does it allow you to separate each customer and group there users together?
Thanks for helping me I been really wanting to go this route but there is not much help that I can find

I wouldn’t use wasabi.
Had so many issues with it and their support was terrible.

Check out https://www.magnusbox.com

it’s based on Comet Backup but they take care of the server and cloud storage so you don’t have to.
I’ve been using it for a few months now and it’s been excellent.
Support is great and it can be fully branded with your name and logo Etc if you want to.

I pay cloudberry per device and using Cloudberry's Portal I create an account for each company so that they have the ability to login and check their backup status if they want. From Cloudberry's portal I also create a new Wasabi bucket for each company to separate their data. I never have to login to Wasabi for management. I really like Cloudberry's backup history report showing an overview of the daily backup jobs. I also have the ability to adjust all backup jobs or restore from the portal.

You should be able to schedule a demo with them and they can walk you through their product. Feel free to contact my Rep Dmitry Onoshko (609) 534-4797 he's been helpful.

Good Luck!

This seems like the best place to ask this. Im particularly interested in UK opinions.
What are the best UK cloud backup providers that i can resell to home users. I know about livedrive etc. I'd like data to be kept in the UK, some customers can get funny about such things, even though im quite sure they'll be sharing all sort of stuff all over the world on a daily basis (think social media)!
End users can buy from livedrive directly way less than they charge for a reseller account and with Currys/PC World being a big reseller of there's providing this storage very cheaply, is there anyway at all i can be competitive? I'd have to be charging in the region of £200 /year for 1TB to make it worthwhile while whereas them direct will be selling unlimited storage for £60 /year (£48 if you commit to 1 year at a time) and PC World selling 2TB for £40 /year.
Is there such a provider that offers reseller accounts where a retail price of around £5 /month can be achieve?

Backblaze is cheap as hell and its worked for me ... the restore process is a little janky especially for a large restore but worth a look ... just got a $500 commission check from them.

It depends on what you need to backup. I use Backblaze for file based backup, and iDrive if it's a client who has multiple computers and whats a good price. I use Datto for image based backup. Their Cloud Continuity program for me is 10.00 a month for 1tb of storage per endpoint.

Using Cloudberry's backup software, you have the option to choose which cloud storage provider you want to use and which location you want to store your data at. I currently use Wasabi based on price, see there pricing calculator, but they also have numerous other cloud providers such as Backblaze, Amazon, Google, Microsoft Azure, etc. Cloudberry storage providers. Good luck in your search!

Can also vouch for Cloudberry. We’re in Ireland and use Backblaze B2, which is cheap and has EU based storage. This reassures any clients concerned about location, which most aren’t. The OP specified he wants UK-based storage, which is probably a smart move, given current political/cultural trends there. He could use cloudberry and store on Amazon S3, which gives London as a storage location choice. Although, S3 is a bit dearer than some of the competition.

Cloudberry Lab is now MSP360. Anyhow, I just got a quote from them for 50 machines at a cost of over $2200/yr which is ridiculously high. Add on to that the actual cost of Backblaze B1 (which I use and is cheap, but still) and were at $50/mo per machine. It would be cheaper (on the client) to just get them set up on their own Backblaze backup, but I don't work on commission so there's that.

I am thinking of selling a package for 20 per computer and my cost is 5.99 per Tb with Wasabi and 6.99 per system for cloudberry license, how is that compared to Blackblaze?
