this forum site has a computer business kit for sale for $99. It has loads of forms that can be used for business as well as discounts, etc.

Looks like a timesaver. Any thoughts on whether I should buy it as a newbie?

Look at it like this. A business owner spends money to purchase products and services to help make their business better. At a fundamental level one decides whether it's better to roll your own or pay someone to do it. The cost is 100. If you impute your pay at 50/hour spending 2 hours to create everything in the package is breakeven. I'll guarantee you you'll spend much more than that to create the same.

If you're worried about legal stuff then, as @Rosco said, get a lawyer. I think somewhere in the boiler plate it's stated that the legal stuff is generic.

The main advantage, at least in my opinion, in the Business Kit was all the documentation, as in pre made forms. @Bryce W offers a 30 day money back guarantee on the MSP Kit so you can browse the offering to see if you get what you want.

I just did a little digging around and it appears that it's still available. Click on the green Order Now button.

I’m getting ready to order the business kit. One thing I am looking for which it has but doesn’t have everything, is procedures and systems to make sure all employees are doing everything the same way. I will probably write my own but I have a short attention span and keep putting it off.

I'm getting ready to order it also. I'm just starting out and I think it will cut out a lot of time trying to make the forms myself.
Thanks, everyone.

you solve this problem by getting your employees to write their own procedures. You give them the template, they fill it in. Perhaps start off writing a couple of critical ones yourself then assign particular procedures to particular employees based on their experiences or whatever but make sure everyone is given a chance to contribute. You end up with more complete procedures, everyone has some ownership and is more likely to follow the procedures because they were involved in creating them.

Also allow for the fact that the procedures are a living thing, they may change and evolve over time. Provide a means for employees to change the procedures to better meet the needs of the company, it's employees and customers.

The invoice never really worked well for me. I'm in Saskatchewan Canada where we have two sales taxes Provincial @ 6% and federal @ 5%. I thought the kit was basically good but am disappointed there are no updates for it. XP & Vista are knd of noon issues but Windows 7 EOL is big.
