Change visuals effects to "Adjust for best appearance" ???
I thought it was best to remove all effects.

Stop cortana and rename its folder, its such a memory hog. I tweak for best performance, uncheck everything except smooth edges on windows, fonts and show shadows under windows.

Run O&O Shutup 10 that disables a lot of that stuff automatically. Great tool.

This is a great tool. I have been using a script. This is cleaner.
