Client has an older 13" Dell XPS. Says he thinks it got left on in his bag rather than sleep mode. Now it just flashes 2 amber & 1 white code which is a CPU failure code.
Most everything is backed up in the cloud, but he thinks some stuff is only on the SSD. He is not sure if bitlocker is turned on and/or if he has the key.
Questions:
1) Can I pull the SSD drop it in an external enclosure and connect it to another PC if its encrypted and if so will it simply ask for the bitlocker key to unlock it as an external drive?
2) Can I put the SSD is the same model computer and will it boot or will it need the BitLocker key?
