Dentist office using Eaglesoft

A dentist reached out to me for general IT support. They are using Eaglesoft which I am not familiar with. They also use Weave for their text and phone system again something I am not familiar with.

I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with these software packages and is it something they would require a lot of help with or would they likely have a support package with each company that sells it. i.e. Does it have issues a general IT guy would be able to solve or is it more suited to an expert with the particular software.

I am meeting the dentist and office staff next week so I don't know exactly what they are looking for yet, but I wanted to get a heads up before hand as I am not familiar with the software.

Years ago we had a small dental client that ran Patterson Eaglesoft.
Back then, their support was good. Can't speak for it lately, as this dentist office closed, and our other dentist clients use the big one...Dentrix.
Ran on SQL Anywhere if I recall.

As with any business client, have them maintain their support package with their LOB apps, so...if issues arise, you can call their support. Healthcare clients usually always maintain support anyways, they need their software up to date. Your job is to maintain the network and workstations to ensure their LOB apps run smoothly in a supported optimal environment, and a business continuity backup is in place.

Looks like Weave integrates with Patterson...so they likely support that too.
