Ok, I have about a years+ experience with repairing the products in the title. I was a third party contractor and worked on a per incident basis. I would be send out on site and have to diagnose the problem. What I would do is observe the problem which would give an idea of where the problem was within the hardware. I would then have to disassemble the product and find out what part number was needed to fix the problem. I would then have to put the unit back together and wait for the part to come in 2-20 days. Then I would pray that this fixed it and I would go back onsite and install the product. hopefully this would fix the issue.
Now when I did a service call I would have access to the tech support of the company who contracted my services. These guys usually could diagnose the problem from the description I gave and they would then direct me to the proper board.
Now I want to know how to learn to do this without having to call tech support. IDK where to begin here so i thought I would ask here. It seems like this will be a good service to offer because anyone who doesn't get a warranty will need to bring the product into the shop.
