G Suite Transfer

I currently have g suite through a provider who hosts my site, domain and G suite. They have since moved to a yearly pricing model and have hiked up the price. If I was to move my hosting, domain and g suite to another provider, am I right in saying I will have lost emails?

I have since read in G Suite support my provider can transfer my account directly to Google but I still not sure if emails will carry across. Has anyone done this before and know one way or the other?

use the outlook sync app and download everything to a pst file just in case

Back up the email into PST for security. But it should be a case of the reseller clicking end partnership in their portal you will then get some email about moving it to someone else.

I have been able to backup emails in an MBOX format and have been able to export all my mail to an alternate gmail address. I will take a pst copy tomorrow but was just hoping there may be a simpler way to transfer.

I would expect everything in GSuite to cross over as all the servers are owned by Google. The backup is a just in case thing. Obviously the other stuff requires more work.

The only thing that really needs to be transferred is the licensing and the billing the rest is already on Google's servers

Thanks for your help everyone. G Suite Sync is a handy little program from Google that allows you to sync you mail from G Suite to Microsoft Outlook.

I should be able to switch my services over in the next few days.

You don't backup your email?
I keep the important emails backed up and stored off the Google servers. It's just more the day to day emails. If I lost them in the transfer I won't lose any sleep. Will just be a pain in the neck to remember which emails I need to action.

I found this tool today. What a massive time saver! 11k + emails have been imported lol

I use gsuite and this app works great for me. i am sure others will disagree. I have been using gsuite so long it just works for me. Handles contacts and calander also huge time saver.

I also have office 365 so i am comfortable with both.
