Geez, what a messed up week

Ever have one of those weeks where nothing seems to go right?

It all started last Sunday when the A/C went out in my car. Of course this past week was one of the hottest weeks of the summer so far. After some diagnostic work, looks like I need a new blower motor.

Business was slow all week.

Coming home from the shop on Wednesday, some woman right in front of me flips her full size SUV after she loses control during a panic stop. She seemed alright after the EMT's arrived, but still....

Mowing the grass on Saturday (I have 2 acres and have to mow about every 4 days because of all the rain we've been getting) and the connecting rod starts knocking in my mower engine. Park it in the shed until I have a chance to look at it.

Saturday night a line of severe weather comes through and blows down a large tree across my driveway, and messes up what's left of my poor garden. Spend a good deal of Sunday with a chainsaw cleaning up the mess and sweating my ass off. .

Today, Monday, I head out to the shed to work on the mower (still hot and humid and not very pleasant at all) Got in a hurry and rounded the damn corners off of a head bolt whilst disassembling the engine.....substantially complicating the matter. Looks like I might be push mowing for a while.

When it rains, it pours...or so they say. All this is hard on an old man, but at least I've got beer in the fridge! :)

Sorry, not looking for sympathy; just needed to vent a little.... Hope everyone else had a better holiday weekend than this.

I just got back from 4 days at the lakehouse in Harbor Beach.
Family was up from Kentucky visiting.
Had a bon fire that would put any lighthouse to shame :D

Lots of beer, good food, and family.

/Thought I would gloat :p

Yeah when it rains it pours.....
...hope your run of bad luck takes a 180 soon.

Looks at it this way....nothing too major....no bodily harm or sickness or death.

I'm envious. Sounds like a good time, and actually gives me an idea.....as I now have plenty of fuel for a nice bonfire myself :)

Thanks. Your absolutely right, things could have been worse....horrible chainsaw accident, crushed by falling tree, roof blown off, beer shortage, and so on. Despite my rant, I'm usually a "look at the bright side" kind of guy.
