Does anyone one know of any open source dj software only one one i know of is mixxx.

A customer was asking i don't know much about dj software.

I don't think there is any. I had a good look and they are either covered with spyware or they are just plain shareware. I used to use one which worked shut down after ten songs unless you paid for it.

DJ software is actually very tricky to write if you include the mixing facility so its rare to find it free.

I don't know of any open source DJ software, as joydivision said it's actually pretty complicated to program - especially when you consider beat matching, on-the-fly pitch and bpm changing and so on. Any that you find might be pretty basic.

I've used some pretty good paid products though, all basically the same (rebranded) software though. Numark Cue is very good indeed, as is Atomix - these applications also have video output facility, beat matching and can be enhanced with addons too. They are pretty pricey though, which I guess is why you're looking for open source alternatives :)

I used to, and still very occasionally do, offer my services as a mobile DJ so if you have any questions you'd like to run past me feel free :)
