Been lazy lately, just checked my site to update a few things. The issue is the Google Maps API module is not working - states "For Development Purposes Only" watermarked and inactive.

Looks like I need to "purchase" the API for the modules use via Google Cloud Platform. Has anyone else used this confusing service?

I am running Joomla 3.18.12 + all extensions updated.

Google are raising the price of the API from 50 cents to $7 (US) so that may be why.
I think you still get so many uses free but not sure how many.

Best to not use the API. I changed all my maps and embeded via html. I'm not paying them for this.

Hmmm. I'm going to look into this.
Alternatives are available anyway.
Use https://www.openstreetmap.org or https://leafletjs.com/
