Anybody know how to setup google wifi without it insisting on being the dhcp server. I want the google devices, including the primary puck to get it's ip assignment from the existing router. I suppose another variation of the question is how to set google wifi in bridge mode. i've looked through it's advanced settings, and can't seem to find the relevant setting, maybe i'm just missing it

If you are using more than 1 google wifi puck you can not use Bridge Mode with Google Wifi. I setup Google Wifi today for a residential customer. We disabled Wifi on the ISP router and used Google Wifi for Wifi. There are no wired devices in the house so we are just using google wifi for the wireless network.

From the google wifi help page.....

"If you’re creating a mesh network with multiple Wifi points, your Primary Wifi point cannot be in Bridge mode. This is because the Primary Wifi point needs to do special things to set up the mesh, control settings, and enable communication within your Wi-Fi network. If it’s in bridge mode, you’ll lose some of Google Wifi’s key features."

So it doesn't act as an AP? Seems stupid to me.

When I deploy ubiquiti gear it's acts as an AP and nothing more I'm free to control all the settings I want.
