How to determine if 64 bit or 32

Win 7 Home Premium. Toshiba laptop Satellite P755-S5269. Hard drive is damaged beyond repair. No specific reference to 64 bit in the BIOS or on the Windows product key sticker.

According to this site it's 64-bit but is it possible that there's a 32-bit version?

Why don't you just install 64bit? Specs say 6GB ram so I don't see any reason to put 32 bit on there unless someone specifically asks you to do so.

I figure the product key would be 64 or 32. Right now I am going to give 64 a shot. I wish I knew of a definitive way of determining.

This tells you if it's OEM or not, but that's about it.

Key should work for either version AFAIK, but agree with above post that 64-bit on those specs is the only sensible option to install.

ON http://support.toshiba.com/drivers they offer 32-bit and 64-bit items. Keeping my fingers crossed.

If it's GOT 6GB, I think it answers itself. Other than that, do what you're doing - try x64 first.

It's got 6 GB of RAM. That means 64-bit.

I don't think the installer actually cares about 64 bit vs 32 bit, just that that the key is valid and proper for what you are doing.
