It comes from a Toshiba Satellite W35Click-A3300.

I need to get data off this hard drive, but I'm not sure how...The laptop only comes with 1 USB port and no ODD, so I can't realistically hook up a Linux live CD to the laptop and copy stuff over to a flash/external.

I have SATA & IDE to USB equipment, but it definitely doesn't fit this model. Is there any kind of equipment that does?

Suggestions?

EDIT:
Hard drive model WD5000MPCK

What is the problem with the system that you need to get the data off? If you suspect the hard drive, you might be better off just outsourcing to a lab who already has the equipment to handle it. Otherwise, you may be wasting money and a lot of time trying to source and order in the necessary adapter.

I ordered an adapter before Christmas...just got it last week. The approach will depend on why the adapter is needed. It would really suck for the client to wait a couple of months while you order an adapter to find out that the drive is damaged beyond your capabilities and you need to outsource the job to a data recovery lab. As these are really rare, I suspect that most smaller data recovery labs would be caught off guard if one of these drives showed up.

USB Powered Hub? That should allow you to boot up from a flash drive and transfer the data to another flash drive or hard drive. As already mentioned, you need to test the hard drive first. You can do that with Parted Magic.

Parted Magic and some Windows PE load fully into ram. After they boot up you can pull them then use that usb port for a different drive.
