Hey Guys I need your help on reseting a Toshiba Satellite S875-S7136 BIOS Password. I've remove both batteries with no luck, even removing the RAM. I saw videos on shorting the jumpers on the board but those instructions are not for my specific board. Any Ideas guys???

Most, if not all of those BIOS clearing tips on newer laptops do not work. Basically need to send to Toshiba or a major Toshiba ASP. When I was at CompUSA we were an ASP and Toshiba, along with Sony, would not provide us with any of those tools.

WOW well that sucks, anyway I got the password for that specific system. But there should be ways to reset those BIOS password without contacting Toshiba.

Man, I hate clearing the CMOS on laptops. But I've done it many times. You need to identify which contacts you need to short in order to do the reset. Sometimes you need to turn the laptop on while you're shorting it (very difficult to do properly with just a paper clip). But I've done it on may different types of laptops. Toshiba's typically have the contacts right near the RAM slots so it makes it easier to do. But other brands sometimes have it on the opposite side of the board and you have to take the computer apart down to the last screw in order to get to it. It really sucks.

Out of curiosity what is the newest model, meaning date of manufacture, you have been able to reset?

I don't typically keep track, but I just reset it on a 1 year old (late 2013) HP laptop about three months ago. Had to take it apart down to the last screw and rig it up so I could turn it on outside the case while I used a bent stripped paper clip to short the contacts. The manufacturers MUST have a way to do it themselves, so it can be done. You just have to figure out how. I had to Google the numbers next to all the contact points along the board before I found the right one. Talk about a pain in the rear.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, it might not have been an HP. The newer ones all look so similar nowadays and I've worked on so many systems since then.
