Hello everyone, hope all are well.
Is there a way that I can easily do an inventory having all computers in one place, instead of going to every computer to write down it's hardware and software details? Thanks, and I do appreciate the help every time.

What if they're all on a local network, but not domain based? Is Spiceworks Inventory still a good choice?

Lots of options commercial and not, many with free levels.
  • Lansweeper (free up to 100 assets, then jumps to $500/year and up. Also has a helpdesk module at $10/agent/month but the first agent might be free?)
  • PDQInventory (has a free level, then $500/admin/year. Has a linked software deployment option)
  • Rapid Fire Tools (monthly subscription and not inexpensive, but good reputation. Probably suitable for someone larger.)
  • OCSInventory-ng (open source)
  • FusionInventory+GLPI (open source)
  • Spiceworks (free, may undergo changes as it was bought by Ziff Davis/J2 Global in August. Yes J2 is the efax company.)
  • The assorted network scanning tools mentioned (also check DHCP server logs! System firewalls may 'hide' systems from scans. If you're really dedicated, check the ARP tables on any servers to see what network devices talk to them.)
  • nmap, to take the network scanning up another level
  • If you're using an RMM, whatever probes it supports
Having used only the last three in any significant way, I'd probably look at Lansweeper if you don't have/won't have an RMM, with PDQ as a close second. The open source options may be great, but may require more work to get up and running.
