Solution: don't worry about it and forget about it.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14S Gen 2a Windows 11 laptop nuke and pave job.

I installed a fingerprint reader driver since it was listed as a driver for it and I thought the power button had a built-in fingerprint reader, but it does not.

I see they can have this: Optional match-on-chip touch fingerprint reader.

It appears that it is permanently installed as I cannot find a way to uninstall it. I'm guessing this will not be a problem?

Things I have tried checking:

- Check Device Manager.

- Settings > Apps as well as Devices.

- Control Panel > Programs and Features.

- The installer program does not give the option to uninstall.

System restore? Or if that's not available, I'd nuke and pave again.

Since the laptop works just fine, I am going to just forget about it lol.
If you don't see it in the list in Device Manager, it's probably hidden because there's no device for it. Click view [up top] and select hidden devices. If it shows up in the list, it will likely be gray. Double click it and select uninstall. No need to N&P again.

Thanks! I did not find anything in there. Will forget about it.
