Seriously, I was shopping in ASDA (Walmart), and they have started stocking Xmas products.

For pity's sake.

It's actually surprising that they waited this long. As a veteran of the retail industry, I can tell you that some companies used to roll this stuff out in August. Usually, "Back-to-school" would transition right into Christmas. Holiday music over the PA would usually start in late October or early November. Now imagine being an employee in some of these places, and being forced to listen to some of the most god-awful Christmas music you've ever heard, repeated endlessly on a loop for 50-60+ hours a week for over 2 months straight. Not to mention the daily avalanche of stressed, angry, disagreeable consumers. The whole concept is wrong on so many levels.

I went to go eat at Crack Barrel restaurant and they had Trees up with Christmas music already playing. They also had a section setup for Thanksgiving. Asked them when they start doing this and they said beginning of September. I was shocked lol. Usually in October is when I see it in the Walmarts around me. More so after October 31st.

Now, I should point out that I have nothing against Johnny Mathis, or Lennon, or Jonah Louis, or The Flying Pickets.

(Belay that, the flying pickets can rot in hell)

But the first time I hear "Mary's Boy Child" on any PA system, I'm off to the pub to get completely and utterly hammered.

I can put up with the tinsill, the fake snow, supermarket cashiers wearing "novelty" outfits and their glazed expressions, but...... THE MUSIC !

AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaah

You see !
I'm wound up and it's still September !

Bought.
That's my present bought.

That does it.
I hate Christmas cards, digging out the outlaws addresses, writing them out.

And damned if I'm buying expensive cards.

Microsoft clipart, here I come.
Eat ya heart out.

Use a computer for addresses ?
Using a computer and a spreadsheet is cheating.

Express elevator to hell if you do.

I'M GOING TO DO THE CHRISTMAS CARDS NOW, AND SEND THEM OUT.

Right you bastards, no one is beating me this year.
