Asus transformer flip TP500L

Battery is internal I am pretty sure power adapter is OK
there must be a charge circuit on M/B causing problem

I run into new external batteries that won't charge every now and then. All I've ever needed to do is put them in and out "hot" (while the machine is running) a few times and they get recognized and take off charging. But - I have no idea how you would do that with an internal battery unless you have it open on the bench.

When battery was plugged in it would not power on with or without charger connected
He already had taken back off to access battery so I unplugged battery and it worked so he ordered a new battery.
also it would not power on using power button we had to disconnect and reconnect P/S to turn it on
I think it is a common problem for these laptops
I am going to take another look test P/S since he lives close

These ASUS models are not the best quality. Even with OEM parts you are lucky for then to work. I remember at Staples when they went for warranty, they would perform some sort of reset but would not tell us what it was. But they mentioned only ASUS could do it, as it was shipped directly to ASUS.

Don't spend allot of time on this, I think these are not worth time or extra money spent. ASUS has OOW services where they will replace battery for a fee. Then it's not your problem.
