Hi,

Can I ask everyone who uses LogMeIn Resuce pays for a single seat license? I will be looking to get the best deal I can so to know what others pay would be really helpful.

Thanks

I paid $100 for my first seat, $70 for the second and $66 for the third.

Apparently, $66 of the cheapest deal they give, I doubted that but whatever. I think I can squeeze 'em down for the 4th eventually. :p

I have seen guys here get it for $80 first seat. I think it's all up to the reps who help you and how much they want the commish.

When you say first seat and second seat...etc..

Does this mean only 1 computer per seat I assume??

If so, thats sort of disappointing to me...as I would find I could probably do at least 2 remotes at the same time.

I think it's 1 seat controlling multiple computers - then if you want someone else controlling multiple computers at the same time as the first person then you need a 2nd seat

Yes one seat is for one technician. The seat is for multiple connections so you can work on multiple computers at the same time.

Also if you have a morning tech and an afternoon tech they can use the same license as long as they dont use it at the same time.

Thanks, seems pricy but it is clearly a good bit of software...

Only thing I cannot get on with is remote support to users with different screen resolutions, it sometimes goes very small which unless I use the zoom feature is impossible to see. Teamviewer doesn't seem to get this problem...

Any ideas?

I recently received a quote of $109 per month, with a 12 month commitment. That was their first offer and I didn't bother trying to negotiate a lower price. Nor did I sign up.

But they also mentioned a "per incident" option of around $10. I think that allowed unlimited connections to the same machine for 24 hours.

So if you anticipate using LMIR only a few times per month the per-incident plan might be the way to go.

we were looking to update our remote support software and came across these alternatives to LogMeIn Rescue and Teamviewer. we preferred a one time fee to monthly fees or percentage cuts.

bomgar – They have the hardware and very good software, quite complete feature set. But they are a bit expensive- especially for a small IT shop.

ScreenConnect – There are no monthly fees- which we liked. Self-hosted like Bomgar- but no hardware- you install on your own server. It’s configurable, still a bit young but does most of what I need.

crossloop – Basically free but they do take a cut of the deal if you are charging for your service. The software is ok but not as full featured as others.

I was just offered my first seat for $85 with a one year contract. Think Im going to byte.

LogMeIn UK's response to this was "no we don't do this"

Shame.

I've been quoted...

for an up-front annual subscription:
£588 (962 US$) - works out to £49 (80 US$) a month

for a monthly subscription (with a 12 month commitment)
£54 (88 US$) - works out to £648 (1,060 US$ a year)

that was for the basic LMIR - not the one that includes mobile support, and I was told this pricing is a "March Promotional Special"

It's up to the reps to give you a deal, depends on the commission they want. With our 3 seats, we can log into 30 machines and it's worth it to do multiples on remote support jobs. I do 4 usually at a time.

Do you have to sign a twelve month commitment, 130.00 monthly is what the site quotes.

What's your view on the mobile support add on, they want 90.00, and I am assuming that is monthly as well.

So whats the lowest price as of now? I pay 65. My contract is over would like to negotiate a better price if possible.

When I was using LMI Rescue a few years ago (maybe 5), I had negotiated £35.00 per month. I've come to realise that that price just isn't achievable any more.

You way want to try out NetSupport 24x7. Net Support is a local company to me, and I used to work with one of the main techs when I was contracting for a few years - He still owes me a beer! Try it out at https://www.netsupport247.com/
