Logo contest for new business venture - your opinions wanted

Hi Guys

We are looking at something new and are in the process of working on a logo for it. from 350 entries, we have got it down to 16 drafts, which we would like to reduce down to 6 finalists, with your help.

As these are drafts, they can be modified. If you would care to share your thoughts on any modifications you think would help the designers, please do so in the comments boxes on the polls

I'd be really carefull about the name. What about this company:

Will they do an Apple on you and send a cease and desist? Those logo's are awfully close to the registered trademark logos of Panda in my opinion, and some are close to the logo's of the WWF http://www.wwf.org.uk

Put my votes in. I don't really see anything that is close. From my experience 99 designs does a bit of policing to keep the trademark/copyright infringement thing at a minimum. When I have my contest there were several submitted that ended up getting pulled. Seem to remember some note about them not complying with the rules (ie copy).

For most normal circumstances you shouldn't have to worry about this. Besides I do not see anything that is close to the logo you pointed at. They are both pandas but that's about it.

272, something about that panda smiling and not being angry is memorable. The "tada" is cute too and I think with those colors and logo, you can easily do your own fonting, etc with marketing.

The key is logo, so it would be the panda. If you pick this one, see if you can get him doing 2 or 3 different hand waves so you can do different stuff.

Forgot to mention what I liked. On the first link it's not showing the designer for me but I like the one decked out Ninja style. From the second link I like Gegen Ganitikundha and 92christos. Gegen probably the most.

#318 and #205 are the only that really strike me as fitting, professional, and recognizable.

318 is the only one that is any good. Clean, simple, easy to reproduce on multiple media formats from Website logos to letterheads or business cards. Most of the others are bad cartoons that look like they were done for Anime not a tech company people want to put there trust in. Especially when the name sounds more like a night club then a tech company.
