Hi all,

I have decided to purchase a colour laser printer as it is costing me a fortune in Inkjet cartridges. I was wondering if you fine folks had any recommendations? My budget is approx £200(give or take) and the printer must be wireless.

So far I have been looking at the following models..

Samsung CLP-325W and the HP Laserjet Pro CP1525nw

Does anyone have any recommendations, or does anyone own one of the above printers?

Thanks
TLE :)

Shucks.. if it didnt have to be wireless, I could of recommended one for you.

I bought a colour laser couple of weeks back, a Samsung CLP320 for a little over £68+vat from Elf. Awesome bit of kit.

I was looking into this a while ago. I have a HP Officejet 6500 printer and have just bought a HP Laserjet P1102W Mono printer for doing the bulk. Maybe that is a better option TLE? Plus of course you can get a wired machine(wireless isn't much more) and print over LPR to the ip address.

Thanks Nige, I saw that on the price list and was tempted. Wireless I suppose isn't really needed, and the minimum I think I would certainly need it to have is, LAN connectivity too make it easier to share.

What's the print like on the Samsung, I suspect the model you listed and the one I was looking at are very simliar.

Thats true, I always think my work orders, worksheets and invoices always look better with the colour logo. I could print them off separately. To be honest I was going to retire the old inkjet as we never use it for photo's, and it's getting on a bit now. My wife only ever prints off song lyrics for the band and I only use for work.

I rarely print on the colour since I got the mono laser, it's fast and crisp and even on rubbish paper. Buy a decent mono laser, mine was from Staples for about £80. It's a printer only so the other one is the scanner if I need one. I agree that the prints look better in colour but as we know it's not cheap that way. If your colour logo doesn't print great in greyscale create a greyscale version of that and see if it is better. There was a Dell one on Amazon for around £120 that I nearly bought I think it was a 1320cn or something like that.
