I just replaced the battery on a MacBook a1425, but it will not post... It powers on... but there is no post. The fans slow down and speed up but will not post, and the computer turns on right away when I plug in but will not power up without the battery. Bad battery? ..I appreciate any help you can provide.

the model you're referring is a 2012 retina model correct? try to see if you damaged anything when removing the old battery, does the Mac power with the battery disconnected?

What was happening before the battery was replaced?
If it was booting to an OS did you make sure all updates have been installed?
Did you try flashing the PRAM?
Where did you get the battery from?
In theory the machine should power up without a battery attached.
