I am a Computer and Network tech in a big company in Iceland, one guy in other department inside the company call me and said something was with a Microsoft Office 2007. Ok I did look into that matter and case was Outlook was freezing with any action we do, change between contacts and calender or inbox for example. Ok said to him I will be awhile and told him to go. I start to do:
• Repair Office 2007=failed.
• We have a volume licence so I try to upgrade to Office 2010, error msg came:
„microsoft office 2010 encountered a problem during setup“ =failed.
• I try to restore to earlier points=failed.
Well when I have been doing this I am getting really furstrated then I decided to uninstall Office 2007, then problem starts for real after I uninstall Office 2007 I start to do:
• Use Revouninstall to clean up registry and leftovers of Office 2007 and restart.
Install Office 2007. Error msg: „microsoft office 2010 encountered a problem during setup“ =failed. I am getting worried because i am starting to get this msg
• Use revouninstall again to clean up leftovers and registry if something got install after failed.
• Well next I try to do was install Office 2010, same error msg: : „microsoft office 2010 encountered a problem during setup“
• Revo uninstall again to clean leftovers, then I start to recearch in google, use some of the idea like download Microsoft fixit but no luck.
• then I use sfc / scannow and try to install Office 2007-2010 but no luck.
• Try also to do windows repair(he have xp) but no luck.
Now i am out of any idea and he dont have any Office in his computer now and i am getting nightmares because I know I have one more try left and that is take a backup and format the computer but I am trying to avoid that because he have so many things in his computer who need to take care off and its to much action only for Office but could be only way left.
Now I ask for some help here because I have been here before and had great help and I have faith in you guys Any ideas for me to try?
