I had no clue how much actually went in to developing, tweaking, and SEOing a website until i came here. So thanks for that :D

What I've Changed SEO wise
Added Keywords on most of the pages
Improved & Added Keyword rich descriptions
studied relevant keywords of high ranked sites
added alot more content (while trying my best not to clutter & detract)
increased page speed (scored 86 out of 100 on google page test - better than many local\well known sites)

What I've changed design wise
Made the menus and submenus "pop out" a little
Added darker greys, some black, and brighter colors (esp gold)
Removed all but one drop down menu (made UI more user friendly)
Cut down on the menus from 8 to about 4 (other menus hidden on a "need to access basis" The customer only sees certain pages when their search brings them there. Keeping everything comprehensive, but clean)

What I WILL be changing
Adding more content to the home page (slow process.. trying to maintain user friendliness of the site and keep load times down)

and finally here is the URL

Still way too much gray and you really need to consider paying $5 a month for a hosting plan . . . . its $5 a month!

Your service links should not be check marks. Makes it harder for older people.

Your adding more content which is good.

As soon as I get a minute, I am going to dig up a tool that greatly helped me with my site and PM it to you.

I don't think there is too much grey, looks good.

I think the bos just below the menu needs rounded corners so it matches the rest.

The "Time Blocks" might be a bit confusing for some people. Maybe change the link to say something else like "Book me"

As you have the option for drop down menus, add more pages and content.

Maybe he should ask a designer instead of techs . . . especially since most techs have the worst looking websites in the world.

Rounded Corners: Working on that

Time Blocks: Agreed, changed it to "prepaid support"

More menus: When the need arises I MAY. I try to only add menus if its a MUST. I keep many hidden until they are needed

Thanks for the URL in my inbox.

Computer Repair: 31 out of 40 (excellent)
Smartphone Repair: 30 out of 40 (fair)
Virus Removal: 31 out of 40 (excellent)

That's just for the first page! Those 3 keywords seem fairly well optimizedthe first page (what i was going for)

Out of context.

You have to search for those terms in relation to your location, unless you plan on being on the first page of google for the whole world. For instance

Computer Repair Jacksonville NC

are my keywords.

Computer Repair Columbia: 31 out of 40

smartphone repair columbia: 28 out of 40

Can use work i guess. but not bad so far (Once again. I checked all my competition and they were rated "poor")

Agreed! I at this point I couldn't design my way out of a cardboard box. I hope to change that one day and at least become efficient with Photoshop.

Still as it stands I think its safe to say that I have the best designed website in my area if not state lol. Most of them are atrocious (except maybe best buy)

Just follow the instructions or suggestions they give you on that page. Remember, for your home page, you really want to concentrate on a limited set of keywords in order to prioritize those words and rank well with google for them. For instance, make a page for computer Repair and another page for smart phone and tablet repair.

Computer repair is already going to have a bunch of other keywords like virus removal, so you want to split away from smart phone and tablet repair if possible. Mentioning it is fine, but do not heavily use it as a keyword on the same page that you are heavily using computer repair or virus removal.

Also, as I already mentioned, optimizing your site for you location is extremely important. People are either going to search for computer repair in your area or if they do search computer repair, google will hopefully pull the most relevant results according to their location. Either way, you need to optimize your site for your keywords and location.

Even if that is the case, as others have mentioned several times on this forum to others, stick with a white background unless you know how to use the dark colors. I am guilty of this, but at least I have some contrast.

The black, golds, reds, and blues don't contrast the grey? The mixture of bright(gold, red, blue), neutral(grey), and dark colors (black) add ALOT of contrast to the site. lmao, if you dislike the color grey that's understandable.. not everyone likes grey. But to say my layout lacks contrast is reaching a little bit lol

If you cannot SEE what I am talking about, then you either need to talk to a woman or a graphics designer. Its ugly. Sorry.

Oh and I like gray, just not with lots of other grays. Also, just because you have contrast, does not mean you have the right contrast. For instance, here is something I pulled from a quick google search

lots of contrast, but it looks ugly as hell.

I will do that and then keep you posted. Shouldn't be hard since most who have seen my website loved it. Plus that shoe is a mix of bright colors.. That's never the type of contrast that you want and my site has more color balance lol. Once again.. reaching :)

Wife and kids do not count. My wife says that every (most every) thing that I do is great. Look man, maybe you should listen to 16K and not post anything unless you can actually take some criticism. And obviously you did not get my point about contrast. My point is, just because you have contrast, does not mean it is good contrast. You, my friend, do not have good contrast or a good eye for color.

Then again, you are in the wrong forum for asking for design critiques. Just look at half the websites that techs put together. They are ugly and most techs are too prideful or lazy to change them. I understand that you probably put a lot of time into your site, but in this case, you can actually fix ugly. Fix ugly where you can and deal with what you cant.

On a side note. Your logo looks great. It would suck to have such a great logo on such an ugly website.

thanks and I understand and respect your critique. Same way I've accepted and made changes from your critique in other posts in this forum. I just don't agree.. thats all lol. nothing more, nothing less

Well, at least talk to a designer. I mean I know its one thing coming from another tech, but its completely different if you hear it from a few different graphics designers. I would not be telling you this so that you can destroy your website, I am here to help. Good luck.
