MS Dynamics POS 2.0 help needed urgently please

Hi all

We have a client who needs to replace one of their tills, the existing one having been dropped!. We got a clone of the hard drive did a differential restore to another till they had lying around and the software is up and running, connected to the DB etc.

The problem is with the printer and cash drawer which we cannot get to work. The printer on the original system was a Toshiba but this is broken too. They have a working TM88x USB printer with cash drawer which we can use but which we cannot get working.

Can anyone help with this? We'd really like to get it sorted today if possible. Happy to pay someone to remote in if necessary.

Does the Epson printer even spit out regular Windows test pages?
There was something funky "port wise"...with that receipt printer and certain POS software...they had to use it through a special virtual USB port...like "TMUSB" port...not the usual Windows USB port, when looking at printer properties, ports tab. The drivers for the printer usually installed that port I think. Had to be manually changed to that port if I recall.
