Hi all have an All in Once MSI system, model MS-A912. On startup in post it displays a warning "Abnormal system fan behavior". Upon logging in the system goes into a sleep mode after about a minute?

I have torn down the system and checked the fan and cleaned it out. The fan does run on startup though then shuts down? Could it be a power issue relaying to the fan itself. All the connections are fine, also I cant find online a replacement for this model?

Can you get into the bios and see the rpms on the fan?

A pic of the inside would be nice or maybe the fan itself.

BIOS states "Sysfan = N/A" , fan does not seem to be responding though is spinning. I will upload pics when I tear it down again tomorrow.

Well, Just grab a fan and hook it up to it and see if it registers in the bios. If it doesnt then start looking for bad capacitors - Bulging tops or leaking.

If it doesn't register in the BIOS but it is spinning, might be an issue with the BIOS. Like what coffee said, swap fan, check your caps, etc. Thing is, a cap can be bad and show no physical signs. You could sit there and test every cap, but chances are, you wont find anything unless you pull each cap off.

Chances are the fan is bad, somethings wrong with BIOS and might need to be re-flashed, or there is a connection problem on the board somewhere (you aint gonna find it or be able to fix it more than likely).

Checked again, all caps are ok - visually no leaks, no bulging. I took the entire mobo out and reapplied new TC to the CPU. Fan was recognized after some cleaning - dust gunk. Though was running at a crazy RPM 992> I suspect the fan is FUBAR. Though is one of the stupid AIO systems and fans are hard to find.

The fan model is an AVC -C3010S12L DC 12v 0.07a with Sleeve Bearings. It does sound like a turbine and unusual fan speed. I dont have a similar fan to hook up to it.- this is the fan here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/AVC-...Silent-Fan-HDD-Fan-Cooling-Fan/535479430.html

Only place I can find replacement is in the US, and would cost around $70.00 I think.

Personally, For 70 bucks, I would find a similar fan in size and specs and replace the darn thing. There is no way I would pay good money like that for a sleeve fan. I would find a ball bearing fan and do whatever to retrofit it to fit.

I hate sleeve fans. They are so cheap compared to a good ball bearing fan. :)
