I am not sure if there is any way for me to obtain a trial copy of Server 2003 at this point. My only intention is to install it in Virtual Box so that I can become familiar with it now that I am actively seeking small business clients in a server environment.
I want to make sure that I do not violate any MS licensing, but am hopeful there is a solution still available. I have done extensive research online so far and have not found a solution as of yet.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Tom

If you have a technet subscription you can still get it off there but as far as a "public trial" I think your out of luck.

Some older 2003 study material may come with a 6 month trial. I know the Microsoft Press books used to though in a cd with the book.

I do have a technet subscription and have looked for it. All I can find are the SP2 downloads and it is also in their virtual learning environment, but I can't find the actual download for it. It is also not available in any of my downloads with my MAPS subscription as I believe it is too old. Do you have a link I could check out?
Thanks!
Tom

I can get it with my technet subs also.

Sorry, but I am unable to link to it, as it is behind a password protection part of the site, but it is fully available, together with keys (if required).

Just get a trial of Server 2008 R2 and learn to use it, instead... you can install it without a Product Key.

One thing is that it only comes in a 64-Bit... If you can't run that, get regular Server 2008, which is available in 64 or 32 bit.

You won't find many small businesses with Windows Server 2003 to be honest. SBS 2003 maybe.

You can often find the installation disks in the MS training books. These work for like 60 days which is fine for what you want.

I meant SBS 2003 not just server. Sorry about that. The only downloads I see on technet are SP2. In reading, it sounded like it was a SP upgrade and not the full OS. I will check it out again as I may have been wrong.
It does not show up under my software downloads and serials though which I didn't believe it should anyway.

Personally I wouldn't have any moral issues with downloading a torrent of it and using up the trial. I baulk at using keygens but trials I'm cool with. MS gain out of it.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I was looking in the wrong place. I had just purchased a MAPS subscription a couple weeks ago, had downloaded software from there with no problem, but did not realize I needed to activate the TechNet subscription as well. Once I did that, I found it in the subscriber downloads area of TechNet and the license key and download options were no longer greyed out.
Thanks again for the replies or I may not have discovered that for a while.
