I am getting more into running network wire for customers and not sure what is the average cost to charge per foot.
It looks like I can get a spool of indoor / outdoor cat5e at Lowes for about .14 cents a foot
Also, any ideas what to charge for faceplate, crimp ends, and the connectors that snap into the faceplate (not sure of the actual names).

Similar, by the drop and pricing adjusts by the cable type requirements and cost. For business I don't think I could recommend anything below Cat 6 at this point.

Edit: that's not because 5e won't do the job - for 99% of cases it will. When you're installing cable though you have to figure that cable's going to be in the wall/ceiling and in use for 20 years, and the cost of the better cable is a lot less than the cost of installation.

It is charged per drop, and CAT6 is the only option. In Plenum space, no option but plenum cable. Plenum drops cost more, but still a flat fee.

By the run...start with about 150...and add/subtract from there as necessary. Meaning...somethings you have REALLY difficult buildings, other times you have some easy runs. Also, say you're doing double face plates or quads...we don't do twice or four times the price for those.

I always try to get them to do a survey, not free of course. Serves two purposes. One, I know what I'm walking into. Two, because of this, I can confidently plan my time slot for the job. More than once I've had cabling jobs, sometimes for one drop, that have gone way, way over time guestimates due to missing critical information. Can't really trust EU's to know the answers. Time delays do not look good. The incentive to get them to pay for the survey, one hour plus possible trip charge, 105-160, is I'll know the material needs so they can save some on the per drop cost. So, with a survey, per drops may be as low as $100.

We charge 150 per drop and have two at each drop. Minimum 10 drops.
