New Site Design

H-m-m, I like the old design personally. To me it's much easier to read because your fonts are bigger and you have the different sections divided up nicely with the blue, highlighted heading.

That's only my opinion of course-:) Why did you think of changing the design?

I the new design is better as it looks neater and is easier on the eyes.
You could maybe make the font a little bit bigger but overall it's really nice (the old one was also good :)). Also I noticed that the old one had a blog tab and wondering what happened to it.

[Btw your contact us form isn't working.]

I like the old site. Mostly because of the navigation and header design. The floating tabs on the new site don't make a lot of sense to me. However, I like the columns and logo on the new site better.

Thanks for the feedback :) I've increased the font size slightly to make it easier to read. Doesn't look quite as good with a larger font, but it's certainly easier on the old peepers.

I started a web design website and decided to update my computer repair site with the same design :)

I agree there is alot of content and it's very drawn out, but Google seems to like it :D It helps me get people to the site.

Not sure what you mean by floating tabs. Perhaps the whole page didn't load fully or your screen isn't picking up the grey bar?

No idea why the contact form has stopped working :( I altered the CSS and it seems that anything inside a certain container can't be clicked or highlighted. Bleedin' css!

Strange. I don't see any bar. My Firefox has been not rendering certain text elements recently. Maybe has something to do with that.

I like the uniformity with your web design site, and with the larger font it's definitely easier to read, but I like the graphics on your old site. It's nice to have a little break from the text. Maybe you could re-incorporate them in some way?

Looks much better with the larger font. Before it looked like the fine print on a warranty contract. Is this site from a template?

I like the site alot. But I think it's a little text heavy, might want to just throw a a few little pictures in with the body of text, but otherwise it looks great.

I do like the design a lot more in the new version; however, to reiterate, TOO MUCH TEXT. I just breezed over most of it, honestly.

You have a menu at the top and your main page seems to duplicate a lot of that information.

A good rule of thumb is that users should not have to scroll down more than one page to view the content of a specific area.

Also, it would definitely serve your site to have some sort of breadcrumb organization.

For instance, if I go to "Services" and click on "PC Upgrades", it would be nice if the site went to the PC Upgrades page and told me where I was on your site: Services -> PC Upgrades.

Also, using the above example, you have "PC Upgrades" as a link, with a "(info)" link at the end of the description. Both go to the same place. Why repeat yourself?

Print out your entire site (hear me out) and organize it on the floor by site location. Anywhere you see information duplicated, cross it out on one of the sheets. Only say something (ex: No-fix-no-fee service...) once, in a very targeted location.

Other than that, its a consistent experience and looks pretty good stylistically.
