No thanks, Easeus.

I will try and keep this short as its a long story.

We bought Easeus workstation as an imaging solution for our workshop.

Last month we had a LONG saga trying to recover a customer's disk using EASEUS TODO, which was rendering the restored disk unbootable.

After about 40 emails, we ended up solving the problem ourselves.

VERY time consuming and lots of 'attempted fixes' for us to try - none of them actually working.

You can imagine my annoyance when the last *two* backup jobs I have tried to do on the bench machine failed using EASEUS, with an unintelligible error message.

I sent them an email, and attached the logs to try and get some indication of a fix for the problem.

They came back with please update to our newest software (v6)

I advised that we werent really interested in spending more money as we had only been using the product for a few months and had had previous problems with it, requesting that they advise a solution to the current issue, with the current software.

Again, I got "try the trial version and buy it if it fixes the problem"

..

Im pretty annoyed as its been a real saga getting reliability from that application.

I will not be going back to it again, and was very unimpressed with the approach of their technical support staff to the latter issue.

Just wanted to post the experience for anyone thinking about using TODO on a bench machine.

Yeah I hate dealing with software companies lol, especially ones where you have to grind and grind just to find a phone number to call.

Need more info and what you were trying to clone. At least one of them was a very complicated setup IIRC...

EASEUS has been rock solid for me so far (PRO version), but I have the latest version of course...

Yeah the last two disks were bog standard NTFS W7 installs.

.

Easeus has been great also, been using version 4 for a while (workstation and server). Nothing but good results.

Hate to hear your having so much trouble.

"Support" is key and the true litmus test of a company, we've used and enjoyed Easeus products for a while, have not had to leverage their support. Bummer you got stuck with that one.

After a LOT of hassles (and wasted money, thank you paragon ), I settled on shadow protect.

So far, so good.

in our shop we use Laplink Diskimage for our disk imaging needs...never had a problem with it.....the only EaseUS product we use is Partition Master....which does it's job very well for creating/resizing partitions, formatting drives, or even changing a drive from mbr to gtp which is pretty handy sometimes when trying to install windows on a used hdd
