Anyone here have any experience programming Nortel Norstar phone systems from 2000?
This phone system was installed at my girlfriend's office before she started working there and nobody has any notes about the configuration (of course).
I am trying to help them (one-of and no-charge as a personal favour).

Basically the problem is they need to change one part of their CCR (Custom Call Routing) Tree.
I have the manual and it seems that you need to input the complete tree rather than just change one path.
The issue is further complicated by the fact that nobody has any notes from 2000 (as I said above).

So, my questions are:
1. Is it possible to find the one part of the CCR tree that we need to modify?
2. How can we modify this one part without inputting the complete CCR tree?

Thank you very much in advance.

I'm not a Nortel installer, but have access to most manuals. You would really need to specify which system you are working with - (3x8, 616, 824, CICS, MICS, BCM, Meridian line, Call Pliot, Vantage..... there's just so many). There's also a forum for installers/programmers with an active Nortel section

Thanks for the suggestion.
Sorry, it is the 'Norstar Flash Voice Mail System' that they are using and I think that I have cobbled together what I need to know.
If I had a serial printer, I could hook it up to the CPU and print a report.
Since I don't, I will need to use the receptionists handset to inquire into each of the paths and what they do or where they go.
I will then make the needed modifications, fill in the 'Programming Record' (which they never had) and give one to my girlfriend and keep one for my records.
