MS replied to my ticket, after 4 days... Had me disable the preview pane (which I had done by GPO), details pane (which wasn't turned on, but I disabled by GPO), and disable "show popup description for folders and files". That one seems to have done the trick on one of the workstations that I was testing on. I gave instructions to the client to have employees turn the setting off (no GPO for it). Waiting to hear back from them. What an odd issue.
