Options for a network fax setup

Have a client that needs a new fax program, networked...shared modem from the server. They have a program that prefers the old MS Fax Service built into Windows..so gonna share a fax modem from the server (after installing the fax service).

Need to save BOTH incoming and outgoing faxes to shared folders on the server.
I don't believe the native Fax service within Server 2012 can save sent fax copies in a specified folder. Found where it can save incoming to a folder obviously.

Put in a new HP 400 Pro MFP for them to replace their regular old school fax machine, separate scanner, and two printers (b&w and color)....but it can't save both in and out faxes to a network share.

So I'm slinging a MultiTech fax modem from the server. Native Server fax service ain't going to cut it.

Haven't had to deal with software based network fax products in a long time....most people have gone the way of MFPs now, or internet fax. I can Google up some options but just looking for experience on a product someone has worked with recently.

FaxBack NET SatisFAXtion

I believe NET SatisFAXtion does what you are looking for. I have experience with an older version and that functionality was present. May be worthwhile to check out. It supports Print to Fax from user workstations and can export faxes to TIFF or PDF format with a lot of other features and add-on modules.

How many users? Might just be easier to install the MFP software on all of the machines and point the store to the server. Otherwise I've seen this being used but it could be pricy.

GFI Faxmaker has been around for years. Haven't use any recent version but did have a client using it several years ago.

Office of 3x users.....a small alarm company. More like 2x users...with sometimes a 3rd one. I put in a small server for their MicroKey software and file storage.

I recall GFI being big years ago. Will check out the others....thanks again!

Snappy fax ( http://www.snappysoftware.com) is really good if you are using a physical fax modem. I am pretty sure it can do what you are needing.

+1 for SnappyFax. Used it for many years with an Insurance company client. They stopped using it a few years back as their business model changed, but SnappyFax really worked well for them at the time.
