Packet loss and online gaming - who to blame

P.S Those "uncorrectables" are packet loss... an ISP support agent should see this and schedule a tech... This is a cut and dry ISP issue now.

The biggest problem I was having showed as upstream packet loss in the game, although that's not happening presently. These "uncorrectables" are downstream.

They are both ways, but given your power levels, your upload is specifically much more impacted. So yes, until you see those upstream numbers get below 49, you're going to have upstream packet loss, your cable modem cannot transmit properly. It's riding on a razor's edge, a small push and the entire connection will collapse at this point.

Again, call your ISP and tell them to fix their crap, because your signals are OUT OF SPEC. They cannot say they are in range, upstream is 50, that's out of range.
