I am currently working on "Version Zero" of a PC Repair Android Application.
- Add new customers
- Edit customers
- Add/Edit/Remove customers' computers
- Type up repair work log for each computer worked on
App built with Google App Inventor, uses tinywebdb connection to a self-hosted PHP/MySQL API that stores and retrieves the data from the app. The PHP API also has a connector to the Intuit Quickbooks Online API, so when you add a new customer it also adds that customer to your Quickbooks Online account.
I'm focusing on on-site work only, so when I get a new customer I use the App to add them to both my website and QBO account. I take payment by check or credit card through Intuit Go Payments. On site I can e-mail them an invoice plus a payment receipt if they pay by credit card, otherwise I log in to my computer and receive the payment in QBO, then email a paid invoice to them (you cannot currently receive payments in QBO on a mobile device).
Customers will be able to log in on my website to view past and outstanding invoices, computer repair history, and current computer repair status.
I am currently putting the last few touches to Version Zero for my own use. If there's interest in something like this for the community at large, let me know.
