PIN sign-on not available

Mahalo for all the feedback. I do have the Enterprise edition of PCUnlocker and had a couple of minutes to try it over the weekend. I was able to successfully reset the password and I can now logon. This is with a Microsoft userid. I (re-)enabled Windows Hello PIN and that is working also. I was also worried about the possibility of full disk encryption, but I had no problems. I'll check to see if FDE is enabled, but I'm guessing it is not.

While there has been wonderful discussion about password reset issues, my original intention was to try and understand how PIN sign-on could get disabled. Any ideas on that?

Windows update perhaps? It does odd things at times, corrupted reg in profile.

The pin can be disabled if you attempt to many tries. It for security reasons will revert to the password.
